Andy Kubert Pirate Batman preview art for ‘Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne’
Batman is finally coming back to the DC Universe. Since the final page of Final Crisis it was shown that Batman was not killed by Darkseid like the DC heroes assumed, in fact he transported into the past. Now Grant Morrison will write a epic time-spanning miniseries that will bring the caped crusader back to his rightful place in time.
DC’s Blog The Source revealed recently that Bruce Wayne will return in a six issue miniseries ‘Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne’ which will be written by Grant Morrison and hits in April, 2010.
“writer Grant Morrison and an all-star cast of artists, including Chris Sprouse, who’ll handle art chores on the first issue, BATMAN: THE RETURN OF BRUCE WAYNE #1 (of 6) hits in April and will prove to be Bruce Wayne’s defining moment as a hero, and his toughest challenge yet.”

Batman is finally going to resume his role as The Dark Knight in DC’s mainstream continuity and I couldn’t be happier. As good as the Batman books have been with Dick Grayson taking over the role of Batman, it’s was only a matter of time till Bruce Wayne found his way back to the present.
I’m a bit surprised they would have brought him back this early. He’s barely been gone. But nevertheless, I’m super excited about this. Pirate Batman looks amazing. I can’t wait.
